Civil Service Coaching Program is offered by SNG Civil Service Academy for guiding selected candidates for the UPSC Civil Service Examination for recruitment to the top services under the Govt. Of India and the State govts (IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, etc.). Minimum qualification is graduation in any field of study within the prescrobed age limits. The coaching program offered by the SNG Civil Service Academy covers the whole range

of UPSC examination (prelims, mains and interview):

• Preliminary Exam: Two papers (Paper I - General Studies and paper II- CS Aptitude Test).
• Mains Exam: Nine papers (paper I- Modern Indian Language; Paper II- English;Paper III- Essay; Paper IV- General Studies I; Paper V- General Studies II; PaperVI- General Studies III; Paper VII- General Studies IV; Paper VIII- Optional Paper I;Paper IX- Optional Paper II).
• Interview (Personality Test).

• For details of the subjects covered by the written papers, scheme of examination, marks allocated, conditions, etc. refer to the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in and the notification issued in the relevant year. Focus of coaching will be on the general studies papers. The coaching program offered by the SNG Civil Service Academy is to give guidance to the candidates to prepare for the above exams. It will be in the form of lectures by experienced professionals and officers of various civil services, periodical tests, mock interviews and counseling sessions. It will be a combined pacakge for all the three stages specified above. The duration of the program will be about one year.

  The candiadtes are selected for the coaching program on the basis of an aptifntude testconducted by the SNG Civil Service Academy every year. An Orientation session isconducted prior to the aptitude test involving experienced civil service officers and the coaching faculty.
