With a view to educating memebrs and the general public on their legal rights and to provide legal assistance in deserving cases, the SNMS has been organizing legal awareness seminars and workshops in association with Kerala Lagal Service Authority and Maharashtra Legal Service Authority. Two such programs have been organzied in 2012 and 2013. Legal experts from these agencies including the Chairman of the Kerala Legal Service Authority led the discussions in such meetings and clarified several issues. Legal assistance to womne and economically backward people are arranged by the Legal service authorities free of charge. The programs have been highly successful and will be an ongoing program.

SNMS has also successfully organized a seminar on Right to Information Act (RTI) in 2013 in which experts like former RTI Commissioner Shailesh Gandhi participated as resource person giving exposure on the RTI Act and the procedures for obtaning information under the Act.
