The Samiti is also extending educational aid to deserving students who have nobody to support them for their education. Books, fees, expenses for uniforms etc are being provided by the Samiti. Samiti is giving freeship to poor and deserving students studying in the Primary and Secondary Sections of Samiti’s Sree Narayana Guru High School.
Free mid-day meal is being provded everyday to about 1500 students in the primary and secondary levels in the English and Marathi medium schools. This program is sponsored by Rashtriya Chemiicals and Fertilizers Lltd (RCF) under its CSR program. The meal is prepared and supplied by ISKCON Food Relief Foundation, Juhu, Mumbai. The mid-day meal program which costs about Rs. 26 lakhs per year started in 2012.
The Primary Section student got 2 sets of School Uniform in the year 2012-13 through the generous donors like ONGC Ltd.,Mahendra&Mahendra Finance Ltd and Hemendra Kothari Foundation. About 1500 students were distributed the free uniform.
Several students from the poor sections of the society are given free tuitions in the Marathi medium and English meduium schools. There are also sponsors who undertake the education of certain poor children till their final year in school. It costs about Rs. 10,000 per year. In addition, there are also many merit scholarships granted to bright students.
With the intention of providing employment opportunities to the students of the college in particular and the society in general, a data bank is being prepared by the Career Guidance and Skill Development Committee. The service provided by the Committee is free of cost. Entrepreneurs/Businessmen may also contact the committee with the vacancy position in their organizations.
